The Office of Strategic Diversity Planning and Research (OSDPR) within the Division of Diversity,

Equity and Educational Achievement (DDEEA/Division) is seeking an Institutional Policy Analyst to

join its energetic and growing team. The analyst will primarily focus on evaluating undergraduate

student scholarship and support programs housed within DDEEA as well as some institution-wide

diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Working with others in OSDPR and Program Directors in DDEEA, the analyst will design and implement a division-wide program assessment and review plan. This will include determining key performance indicators for each unit, original data collection, and collating available institutional data in order to produce regular quantitative and qualitative reports and reviews of student scholarship and support programs. The analyst will also develop new procedures and policies for collecting information about student program participation, including surveys, attendance tracking, and staff feedback.

The analyst will work closely with analysts in OSDPR and will join the team in collaborating with

analysts from across campus to further the mission of OSDPR/DDEEA, including Academic Planning and Institutional Research (APIR), the Office of Undergraduate Advising (OUA), the College of Letters and Science (L&S), the Center for Leadership and Involvement (CfLI), among others.

The incumbent will report to the Director of OSDPR. Successful candidates are highly motivated,

take initiative, can see the big picture, have strong problem-solving and analytic skills, are creative

and curious, communicate clearly, and exercise good judgement and discretion.

About the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement (DDEEA) Under the direction of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Diversity & Inclusion, Vice Provost and Chief Diversity Officer (DVCDI/VPCDO), the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement (DDEEA/Division) supports the mission of the University of Wisconsin-Madison as it works to create a diverse, inclusive, and excellent learning and work environment for all students, faculty, staff,

alumni, and partners at the university. The DDEEA’s priorities are to increase access for

underrepresented minorities in STEM; eliminate the achievement gap between majority and

underrepresented students; recruit and retain more diverse students, faculty and staff; prepare all

of our students to thrive personally and professionally in a world that is diverse, global, and

interconnected; and enhance the campus climate to ensure every member of the UW community

knows they belong. The DDEEA is comprised of administrative, education, scholarship, and service

programs whose work overlaps with the core values of community, inclusion, organizational

excellence, transparency, accountability, and social justice. The DDEEA collaborates, leads, and

consults in efforts to seed new initiatives and coordinate numerous institutional efforts to support,

guide, and promote these priorities.
