POSITION REPORTS TO: Quality Control Supervisor
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday with ability to flex as needed

POSITION DETAILS:
The Quality Control Technician is an integral part of our quality team based out of our Phibro Vaccine Omaha Office, in Omaha, NE. The Quality Control Technician performs various laboratory tests, quality checks throughout the facility, and assists in ensuring compliance to specifications and regulations. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Chemical testing of raw materials
- Electronic entry of test results
- Environmental testing of water and air quality
- Calibration of laboratory equipment
- Release raw materials and finished product
- General lab maintenance
- Peer review of documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Key Competencies & Requirements:
- Education and/or Experience: In the process of earning a Biology degree
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to make decisions on routine matters. Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Versatility: Ability to work independently to complete tasks while coordinating within a small team to ensure all daily responsibilities are completed. Ability to cross-train in multiple test protocols and areas within the department and carry out the duties of those areas proficiently.
- Skills: Microsoft based applications and LIMS. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and correspond in the English language for general business reports, professional journals, technical procedures, and reports. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to practical situations with laboratory work including conversions and volume measurements of dosages.
- Physical Demands: Lift 30 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to stand and bend during entire shift. Requires good hand/eye coordination to perform various tests and good eyesight for calibrations and operation of lab equipment.
- Work Environment: Basic lab environment that requires the wearing of protective equipment.
